Although the wire and cable industry is only a supporting industry, it occupies the output value of 1x4 of China's electrical industry.
It has a wide range of products and a wide range of applications, involving electric power, construction, communications, manufacturing and other industries, and is closely related to all departments of the national economy.
Wires and cables, also known as "arteries" and "nerves" of the national economy, are indispensable basic equipment for transmitting electric energy, transmitting information, manufacturing all kinds of motors, instruments and instruments, and realizing electromagnetic energy conversion. it is a necessary basic product in the future electrified and information society.
So, who knows how to choose wires and cables? is there anything to pay attention to?
Selection of wire and cable types.
When selecting wires and cables, the use, laying conditions and safety should be considered.
For example:
According to different uses, power cables, overhead insulated cables, control cables and so on can be selected.
According to the different laying conditions, general plastic insulated cable, steel tape armored cable, steel wire armored cable, anticorrosive cable and so on can be selected.
According to the safety requirements, non-delayed flame-retardant cable, flame-retardant cable, halogen-free flame-retardant cable, fire-resistant cable and so on can be selected.
Transportation and storage of wires and cables.
1. During transportation, it is strictly forbidden to drop the cable or the cable tray equipped with the cable, especially at a lower temperature (usually about 5 ℃ or less). Throwing or dropping the cable may cause insulation and sheath cracking.
2. Avoid storing the cable in the open air in a bare way as far as possible, and the cable reel is not allowed to be laid flat.
3. When hoisting the package, it is forbidden to hoist several plates at the same time.
On vehicles, ships and other means of transport, cable trays should be fixed by appropriate methods to prevent each other from colliding or tipping over, so as to prevent mechanical damage to the cable.
4. The cable is forbidden to come into contact with acid, alkali and mineral oil, and should be isolated from these corrosive materials.
There shall be no harmful gases that destroy insulation or corrode metal in the storeroom where cables are stored.
5. During the storage period, the cable should be rolled regularly (once every three months in summer, and may be extended in other seasons as appropriate).
When scrolling, the edge of the storage plate will be rolled up to prevent the bottom from damp and rot.
Always pay attention to whether the cable head is intact when storing.
6. The storage life of the cable is limited to the ex-factory life of the product, which is generally not more than one and a half years, and not more than two years.
